Schaub Stat Line: (43/55), (527) yards, (5) TD, (2) INTs
For the last (4) games, Houston Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub threw a total of (5) touchdown passes. Today, Schaub not only matched that amount, the Texan star exploded for an NFL all time second best (527) passing yards. nearly doubling the total average offensive output of the Jacksonville Jaguars (283) this season. Schaub's performance was an incredible sight for Houston Texan fans, ecstatic for fantasy football players who started him and devastating for the ones who didn't. FF players can only go with expert opinions and stat/situational trends, but this is a prime example that sometimes it's just pure luck.
Early Waiver Wire Pickups...
Harry Douglas: With Atlanta possibly going into cruise control nearing the end of the regular season and star wideout Julio Jones spraining his ankle, Douglas is a reliable starter with Matt Ryan having an MVP-like season.
Marcel Reece: Known for being a receiving fullback, Reece compiled (193) yards from scrimmage. Even when Darren Mcfadden returns, for PPR leagues, Reece is a too versatile for Oakland not to use him on draws, play action and screens.
T.Y. Hilton: He showed his speed on Sunday and with the Colts always playing catchup, he should be a great stash.
Bryce Brown: A certain tiny blip on a fantasy radar, Brown stands tall (6) feet and prototypical (223) pounds in reality. Next in line for a concussed McCoy, he has had spurts of long runs and could be a sleeper in the backfield.
