The Seahawks play host to incoming Minnesota vikings cruising ship

CenturyLink Field is where the mighty have fallen

The Minnesota Vikings are on a direct Viking crash onto the shores and rip tides of Seattle's Puget Sound. The Vikings (5-3) have so far been one of the biggest, if not the biggest, surprises of the 2012 NFL Season. Following a lost to their fellow shipmates, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, the Vikings enter a whole other monster in the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field, where the Seahawks are nearly unbeatable.

Two running backs that continue to run with a purpose

Just last year, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson tore his ACL and MCL on Christmas Eve. This year, Peterson is striving with a fully recovered knee that was put together by his amazing work ethic and determination to get back and keep his full strength and speed intact for many NFL seasons to come. With (775 yards), Peterson leads the NFL and is averaging a whopping (5.1 yards per carry) average, meaning that every two runs, the Minnesota Vikings get a first down and then some. Elite and hungry is Peterson this season.

Minnesota Viking's Adrian Peterson will be one of the greatest NFL running backs of all time, along with Seattle Seahawk's Marshawn Lynch

Minnesota Viking Adrian Peterson will be one of the greatest NFL running backs of all time, along with Seattle Seahawk Marshawn Lynch.

Marshawn Lynch is the embodiment of hard nosed downhill running. Lynch has the uncanny ability to break tackles and when he breaks into the secondary, be prepared for pancakes. Sitting just below Adrian Peterson with (757 yards), including a (4.8 yards per carry) average, this game will be a showcase of two running backs at the physical plateau of their careers. Beast Mode never lets off on the truck stick.

Questions to be answered against the Vikings

Who will be the more effective running back, Marshawn Lynch or Adrian Peterson?

The holes in the stiff Seattle Seahawks defensive schemes are being caught by analyzing tape from the San Fransisco 49ers game. Will the Seahawks defense continue their dominance at home and put Ponder on his seat?

Jared Allen is one nasty defensive end, referencing last week's slug fest during NFL Thursday Night Football. He has proven time and time again why he is the most vicious pass rusher in the NFL today. Who will get the best of who, Russell Wilson or Jared Allen.
