Seahawks take a close one against Patriots at home

Defense wins championshipsRussell Wilson adds dangerous passing element to an already stacked Seahawks team

The Seahawks defense proved to be too much for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Brady threw two interceptions, a rarity as many people know, to Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman. When Brandon Browner and the rest of the relentless DBs laid out Wes Welker numerous times, the Patriots began to wither and know that this is the welcoming that incoming opponents will face visiting Seattle. With this performance, the defensive backs of the Seahawks all deserve to go the Pro Bowl.

12th Man never stops cheering on their team

Brady said that it would be cool to change the crowd onto their side or quiet them. The 12th Man never faulted and didn't let up or give up on their Seahawks. An abundance of ear throttling noise slowly but surely wore down the New England Patriots and during the 4th Quarter, Brady was ineffective.

Russell Wilson defeats Patriots with monster game

Wilson threw 3 TDs and, most importantly, didn't throw an interception. The worst possible situation that Wilson could have created, which is giving the No. 1 offense in the league the ball, didn't occur. A looser much more confident Wilson consistently aired it out, keeping the DBs true and opened running lanes for the quick footed QB. With this type of exponential increase in control of Pete Carroll's offense and accurate deep throws, the ceiling for Wilson and the Seahawks has drastically increased. The best defense in the league, equipped with the a multidimensional QB and nasty running game will put the Seahawks at the top of the tight race in the NFC West.

Answers against Patriots...

How will Marshawn Lynch do against one of the best running defenses in the NFL?

Not good at all. Lynch was held to low yard rushes. Those yards were essentially gained by the Seahawks RB using space created by himself and a strong effort to keep his legs churning.

Will the offensive line stay composed?

For the most part, no. A pair of false start penalties started off a disappointing day for the O-Line. Protection was as good as it has been so far, but plays were extended by Wilson being chased out of the pocket.

Russell Wilson has such an incredible competitive spirit and he is the perfect QB for Pete Carroll's offense. Will the Seahawks offense mesh this week? And if they do, it would just be a beautiful thing to watch. A great defense combined with an exciting and explosive offense would have the 12th Man absolutely shaking Seattle.

This definitely happened and, with a new found confidence for the rookie QB Wilson to air it out and be accurate, there is nothing that can stop this train.
